Lakehead University IEEE Hackathon 2023
Hello, welcome to the Lakehead University IEEE Hackathon! Here are the parameters of the contest:
- Contest duration: 4 hours.
- Number of problems: 28, full feedback. Problems are weighted differently for scoring, easier problems are worth 3-5 points while harder problems are worth 15-25 points.
- Scoreboard will be hidden. This means that you will not be able to see other users scores during the contest. You will see your own and at the end all scores will be visible
- Contest format: There will be no wrong submission penalty. Ties will be broken first by the number of points you have, and second by the discretion of the moderation team. We will consider submission time as well as most optimal solution.
- Number of submissions allowed per problem: No Limit. You are encouraged to attempt as many problems as you'd like. You will not be penalized for trying and some problems do give partial points.
General Rules:
- Use of an IDE is allowed
- Third-party "assists" are not permitted. (Chat-GPT, Co-pilot, etc..)
- You are allowed to lookup documentation and syntax for specific languages, but not direct solutions. All code should be written by yourself or your team member.
- Proctors reserve the right to flag any suspicious submission and fail the contestant for that problem.
Both team members are allowed to submit solutions. Your teams score will be the highest score per problem between the two of you.
If you have any questions during the contest raise your hand and one of the proctors will assist you.
