Ratings are Here!

Contest ratings similar to TopCoder's rating system have recently been implemented on the DMOJ. Rating is a direct indicator of how likely you are to beat someone else in any given contest. The higher your rating is compared to another person, the more likely you'll place better! There are currently six ranks, based on the numerical value of the rating.

Ratings Chart

The default rating for users is 1200.

Rating is calculated using your rank on all rated contests you participated in, while also taking into account your competitors.

To view your rating, go to http://www.dmoj.ca/user/HANDLE/rating. For example, to view quantum's rating, go to http://www.dmoj.ca/user/quantum/rating.

The ratings displayed on a post-contest scoreboard is the new rating of the user after they participated in the contest.

What's the rating range to get the purple name? Or the purple name is for the old rating system?

Purple name is so cool :)

Colored handles do not represent a user's rating. They're used to classify users. Blue represents normal users. Purple is for problem writers, and red is admin-exclusive.
